Post 4: Timeline of Human Development

1. About 800,000 years ago, fire was controlled by early humans.
2. About 6 million years ago most early human species became bipedal.
3. The Homo Habilis used to live in Eastern and Southern Africa.
4. About 12,000 years ago, humans managed to control the growth and breeding of some plants and animals.
5. .The Sahelanthropus tchadensis is the earliest human species from the timeline



1. What's been the role of climate change in the development of humans?
The climate change shows a increase in the variability around 6 million years ago. Besides, the vegetation changed a lot and a increase of the draught. 

2. In your opinion, what is the most significant milestone for the human evolution? Why?
For me, the most significant milestone is Dawn of technology, because early humans used stone and cores to cut, pound, crush and access new food (including meat of large animals).

The human species that firts to use tools made from stone, was Homo habilis. He represent the first stone toolmaker.

4. Who were the first human species to travel to and live in Europe? When?
The first human species to live europe was Homo Heidelbergensis about 700.000 to 200.000 years ago. The first in venture into cold latitudes of europe 

5. Which species survived for the longest time? For how long?
The homo erectus, they are surviving nine times as long as our own species, between about 1.89 million and 143,000 years ago.
